Our sons truly love Ms. Karen. They attended weekly lessons from age 6-18 and Ms. Karen was always there for them. When they needed extra practice, she made the time. When they were having a bad day at school, she was there for them to talk to. Ms. Karen is an experienced piano teacher who taught our sons the skills they needed to be successful as they advanced through the Certificate of Merit curriculum. However, more importantly, Ms. Karen taught our sons how to be creative, write their own songs and how to love music,

Ms. Karen is a wonderful and talented teacher. She is very supportive of her students and tailers lessons to fit them. She encourages them to explore their musical creativity and work on pieces they enjoy playing. She is amazing!

Karen Hall is a fabulous teacher. She brings out the best in each student, treating them as individual people. Her students adore her and so do their parents…more so than any other teacher I’ve ever known. She is excellent with ADHD and Autistic kids and enjoys teaching them.

Karen was not only my music teacher of 13 years, but also like a family member. When I was a child, my parents put me through multiple teachers, but Karen was the only one who could break through. She approaches each student uniquely in a way that grows his or her talent, and most importantly, imprints a lasting appreciation of music.

I have known Karen Hall for 40 years, as a co-teacher, collaborator and friend. We have been on several MTAC committees together, have jointly given many student recitals and Master Classes and have even cooked for 60+ people (at musical events).

I have learned much from Karen. She has a way of interacting with her students, in both classes and private lessons, that few teachers have, showing respect, enthusiasm and high-quality musicianship. Her students have won many awards over the years. Her knowledge of music repertoire is exceptional, and many teachers seek her advice regarding literature for their own students. She leads with an atmosphere of welcome and calm, all the while reaching her students to encourage and build their musical artistry.
